Abstract
The interest is in the family of nonlinear control systems involving a finite number of commensurable delays which are described as
This class of systems may be encountered in biology, teleoperation, networked control systems and any system where occurs a transport of information or material.
The mini course will be about the introduction to some theoretical aspects of this family of systems. Though one is dealing with a finite number of n equations, a much larger number of delayed variables is involved and one ends up with a special case of finite dimensional system.
Standard geometric tools are in general no more valid for infinite dimensional systems. The goal will be show that the situation is not that bad either and that it is still possible to consider a sequence of associated extended systems which are finite dimensional.
The outline includes:
- Recalls from delay free systems
- Initialization of time delay systems
- Extensions of the dynamics
- Integrability
- The structure and control solutions for nonlinear time-delay solutions
