Tallinna-Tartu vahelised arvutiteaduse teooriapäevad on 2002. a sügisel alustatud ettevõtmine, mille eesmärk on, et eesti teoreetilisema kallakuga arvutiteadlased aegajalt saaksid pisut kuulda üksteise tööst ning üksteiselt midagi uut õppida, sh. eriti kraadiõppurid nii kuulajate kui kõnelejatena.
Sarja viieteistkümnes üritus toimub Jõhvi lähedal Mäetaguse mõisahotellis 2.-4.10.2009 (reede lõunast pühapäeva lõunani). Teooriapäevi Mäetagusel toetab ERDFi finantseeritav Arvutiteaduse tippkeskus, EXCS.
Meil on külas kolleegid Steklovi-nim. Matemaatikainstituudi Peterburi Osakonnast (PDMIst), nende seas Edward Hirsch, ja PDMI arvutiteaduse klubist.
Registreerimiseks saata email Liina Kammile, kamm(at)ut.ee, mitte hiljem kui reedeks 18.9.2009, märkida transpordivajadus, samuti saabumise, lahkumise aeg, kui tulek vaid osa-ajaks (NB! viimane on korraldajatele absoluutselt hädavajalik teave!).
The Estonian Computer Science Theory Days started in 2002 and have been organized biannually since then. The main goal of the event is to let Estonian computer scientists of theoretical orientation to learn by hearing about the work of others. In particular, the main audience of the theory days are graduate students in the roles of both listeners and presenters.
The 15th edition of the Theory Days will take place near Jõhvi in the Mäetaguse manor hotel 2-4 October 2009 (from Friday noon to Sunday noon). They are sponsored by the ERDF funded Estonian Centre of Excellence in Computer Science, EXCS.
We will host guests from the St Petersburg Department of the Steklov Mathematical Institute (PDMI), in particular Edward Hirsch, and the PDMI Computer Science Club.
To sign up, please send an email to Liina Kamm, kamm(at)ut.ee, by Friday 18 September 2009. In your email, please let us know whether you need transportation. Moreover, if you plan to arrive late or leave early, please let us know NOW (this information is crucial for the organizers)!
Getting to Mäetaguse: Mäetaguse is 3 kms from Koltsina teerist on the Jõhvi-Tartu road (18 kms from Jõhvi).
- From Tallinn: On Fri 2 October, a chartered coach will depart at 10.00 from the Institute of Cybernetics (Akadeemia tee 21) to take us to Jõhvi and further to Mäetaguse.
- From St Petersburg: Your Eurolines coach will arrive at Jõhvi 12.25. We intend to arrive at Jõhvi on our chartered bus by approximately the same time to pick you up; please wait for us.
- From Tartu: There is a scheduled SEBE coach Tartu-Jõhvi-Narva, departing from Tartu at 10.30 and arriving at Koltsina teerist 12.34. Mäetaguse is 3 kms from this crossroads. You can start walking or wait for our chartered bus; in any case we can pick you up. [Should you by some accident miss the right stop, you can travel all the way to Jõhvi, arrive there at 12.55, change to the local SEBE bus Jõhvi-Mäetaguse-Kiikla-Jõhvi at 13.10 and arrive at Mäetaguse 13.40.] Consider buying your ticket in advance.
Getting home: On Sun 4 October, a chartered bus via Jõhvi to Tallinn will leave Mäetaguse at 14.00. A Taisto bus Narva-Jõhvi-Tartu will pass Jõhvi at 14.45 and Koltsina at around 15.03, arriving in Tartu 17.20.
